^^ to add to this, I first had subs n port facing my side trunk than face it forward . Without sealing off, it was also way quieter! Butt still sealed it off world of a difference !! Every note was louder n it even able to hair trick now .

Thats a big 104

Sealed off proper, and a night and day differance. Also, if its a proper seal, from what i understand, there is like zero rattles. In fact, was told thats when you have it done and done right, is when your have zero trunk rattle. I gave up on the build, or i would have gone that route.

you can make templates with cardboard to accurately cut your panels to seal it off...that way you will be able to use very little expanding foam...I had a box completely sealed forward without using foam at all and it was way louder

to add to kylar's comment...if and when its sealed completely forward properly you will have no rattle from the trunk or rear quarter panels...

I have mine firing into the cab. I took some 2.5" painter's tape and taped up the factory carpet area before using any spray foam. Trust me if you everwan t to upgrade or need to take the box out for any reason you'll thank me later lol. It works just the same and seals the same. But it gives you the added feature of being able to remove the foam without damaging the factory carpet.
