n8ball2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 Ive been looking into getting a hand held gps for when im out in the woods and trying to do so without spending a couple hundred bucks since I dont get out all that often anymore. Ive been looking at a Magellan eXplorist 110 and it seems to get good reviews. All I really need it to do is be able to enter in some lat and longitude and get me back out of hte woods. Im going to be in the delaware state forest in an area where there are zero trails. Its very easy to get turned around and not realize what direction you are heading. Anyone got any experience with that unit or a similar magellan one? The area im trying to get to is a mile walk through the woods and is over a half mile from the nearest anything. If I can find it I can have my own personal shooting range I hope. and possibly 400 yards worth.
