Swordlordboy1234
have the tweeter play down to 1.6 i have my DDt2s playing down lower than 3k. Along with that better noise rejection RCA's, and the better processing. I'm working on getting a frequency plot to tell me more about these speakers so I can set them up much better. I kinda just tossed them on a generic active setting and they still perform pretty damn good. Swordlordboy1234
Time for the german stuff!! AW 6.5 AT 28 tweeter A little bit of bad ass hot glue just to be sure it doesn't move. My fast rings. Didn't get a pic with the woofers in there. But I'm sure you can figure out what happened. Swordlordboy1234
So the 80prs is installed.... Front stage sounds awesome. All the settings on the 80prs is just like 0_o It's been a struggle trying to get my subs to sound right though.first they were not loud enough (4db loss out the gate on the ear o meter) Then I re set my gains with a dd1 just to be perfectly sure I'm right on -5db overlap. Literally with a surgeons precision I set my gain. And it was now over excurting on the kick drum part of each bass line.so the subs would make a click sound like they were leaving the gap and then it still wouldn't be loud, my voltage would dip hard on the kick drum and then go to 13.7 until the bass line was done. So after tons of playing with the TA, crossovers, slopes of filters and EQ'ing I think I've got it back to how loud it was. I carefully looked at the subs as they played to get them to move about the same, that combined with my knowledge of my voltage drop on all of my favorite songs I was able to get it really really close I think. Still not perfectly back to the way it was. It was prob a db louder before I changed out the headunit but I'll take a slight loss to have a wickedly better sounding front stage. Still in the high 47 to low 48 range. I woulda swore it was high 148's before. But ear o meter is the ear o meter. I'll try to float some paper soon to see if there is a noticeable difference. Swordlordboy1234
So... my rear door flex and my sunroof flex always had me wondering... Could it be making me lose low notes? So i went to Lowe's and got some stuff. Figured id try it on my doors and sunroof. Swordlordboy1234
Also got this... stuffed it in the gap of my sun roof. Not happy with how it turned out cosmetically. I will figure out a better way to stuff it in there or cover it... SOMETHING. But for now... And this is how it looks with the door closed. The results were insane. I literally sound 1 to 2 DB louder below 29hz. Much more air movement. No more rattles on the lows. Before you could hear air escaping, and mechanical noise from the sunroof slapping and the doors slapping. NOT ANY MORE. Cut down my visible flex by about 200%. Rear doors don't even flex much any more. Sunroof still flexes a little.. But I'm gonna fix that soon too. Gonna redo my headliner and finally replace all of my Audio technix stuff with over $800 in second skin products 0_o.
