I built the box a little big, so I will just go ahead and tear the box apart, sell the subs, and since I work at Best Buy as the lead installer now, I figure I will use my employee discount to purchase 12-12" Alpine Type R's and build a clam shell enclosure for the truck next. I want to break 160's. Before I tear it apart though, I think I will get a video of it for ya. How many cubes is the box? How many sq. in. is the port, what is it tuned to? 4- COMP VR 15's 2- Tang Band 8's 2- Selenium 6" 2- Selenium Tweets 2- SAX 100.4's 1- SAZ 3000D 1- KQ9 1- KX3 Hopefully it doesn't sound too horrible. lol

I tuned the box to 32 hz. I mean if someone has any reccomendations on what to do to get louder, I will keep em. But I asked a few times already and got no response. EricR Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 yea you could break 160 with those 18's with the right power, right box, right tuning. i would rebuild the wall to about 24 cubes gross. tune it to 38-40 hz. if you have the room id build swappable ports also but thats just me. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
