Dozier Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Alright, so here is the deal. I sold the XXX's online on Ebay a few weeks ago and have been looking to do either 4-15's or 18's. I liked the deal Randy had up for the BTL's so I jumped on it. So now I am getting ready to do a wall in the Exploda and pulling out the rear seat. It will be around 6-7 cubes per sub with a tune around 34hz. Should slam. I am going after my man Steve. Ha ha, I am even wearing the "Got SPL" shirt right now. One of my most favorite shirts is the dickie shirt. Well I kind of fell away from the site since I got out of the Corps but finally got settled in and now I am in Houston at Acoustic Edge Institute. They won't help me out on the build though because of limited time at school. I will be doing this alone when I can on weekends and evenings after school. I have to find a parking lot somewhere to do it because the hotel I am staying at won't let me work on the car in their parking lot. I was putting in a fellow student's head unit the other day and they were like..."you can't work on your car here." Dickheads. So whatever. This might be a slow build, but please be patient with me and I will do what I can on the budget I have and time I have. I appreciate any support or constructive criticism you may have. Please no flaming. This is the biggest project I have ever done to anything. I took the liberty of installing a sweet camera the other day at school. Took out the key hole from the rear hatch and flush mounted that bad boy in there. Sealed it up with Black Permatex. Color too. Awesome rear view mirror now. First things first. Sound deadener. I am thinking of going with Fatmat from ebay. Best bang for the buck? I will need two 100sq.ft. packages for the back and two for the front. I will only be doing the back half of the truck to begin with so I won't install the rest in the front until I get home and get some more money. When I get to taking out interior and stuff when the sound deadener is purchased and arrives, I will start taking photos. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
