DubNDodge Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Posted February 16, 2014 So I was trying to figure out how to wire up the subs. I already have 8ga speaker wire ran into the box with ring terminals. Well stupid me I made the left side really short, hardly enough to touch the bottom of the box. So I figured I would make some terminals up, and then make 4 more sets of 8 ga speaker wire with ring terminals on the end and mount everything to that terminal block. Subs only accept 10ga. so I'll probably just trim a bit off. Here's the terminal I made. I'll get final pictures of the bracing with the fiberglass on it., and the terminals mounted in the box. as far as glassing goes, I'm done in the box. I'm going to coat the t nuts with a bit of super glue so they won't back out. and I'll be getting different bolts to mount the subs with. as some of you could tell in a few pictures, the ones I had rusted a bit. Oh, I still need to see if the hds3 will mount up to the sdc2.5 mounting holes... or if it fits in the hole. really don't feel like making the whole bigger. I took off the tape off from the terminals -- which was hella fun. Not really. Got the nuts/ washers on and in the order I want. Super glued the back of the t nuts. and took out the cardboard piece. I also clean up some of the random fiberglass messes around and about. (random hairs, crap on the wires, etc) I could install them tonight. But I don't have the ambition lol. Plus I need to trim the 8ga speaker wire a bit to fit the 10ga speaker push terminals. Might have them in tomorrow. Depends how long I stay at this one audio shop after class. He wanted to see the smd tools in action. Here is a few final pics before subs go in. I just needed a motivator to pull the subs and do it.
