momofx76
Thought I would hear some professional opinions from installers and box builders. I re did my slot port box and went with 3 6" aero ports tuned to around 37Hz. This is with two AB XFL1544's on a SAZ3000D. TL numbers where 148.1dB on the dash with battery at about 75% charge. Is that great for what I have or just ok or bad lol. Just wondering cos honestly I was hoping to get high 149's or maybe 150. Just being honest here. Not bad at all, those XB´s aren´t that loud tuned low, if you are looking for numbers tuning the box around 43 hz would add you some tenths for sure, care to share a picture? can´t imagine how to fitted 2 15´s and 3 6" aeros back there , unless you used subs forward and ports up lol I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. momofx76
LOL it was a pain - the box is built in angle with the back seat to get the most internal volume. The subs face up and aeros back. I think it would have did a bit more if I charged up the batts. Had been playing it for about an hour or so on medium volume before getting it metered. As for a pic, I took the box out cos I am doing some "upgrades" - I will post a pic once I put it back.
fecupe2001
here´s a box i built for a Scion XB 2008 a few days ago, it´s 4 10´s and a 2K , burped a 149.7 @ 53 hz and 150.9 @ 52 hz with 2 of them , also a box i built for 2 american bass TNT 15" D4 subs on a 2K wired at 1 ohm doing 148.8 @ 51 hz on that same car, also, i built a couple o years ago a box for 4 cheap pioneer 10´s and a 2K wired at 1 ohm, it was 2 subs forward, 2 subs up and port side, it burped a 147.5 @ 46 hz but i dont have a picture , those cars get loud for sure.
