Antonio Moore Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Building mids Nd highs are tough I got everything somewhat squared off(still waiting for 80prs)but when I turn up volume on certain songs the tweets sound too loud and sharp my gain on amp is only at 4. Is there anyway to turn down tweets and keep mids loud also??
Mikey Bates Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 I'm not really experienced with this but what's your EQ look like? On your HU is your highs turned up or anything, and are you sure your amp is getting a clean signal/ is giving clean power... Saw somewhere else same thing and he had dirty signal. Again not an expert at all so anyone correct me just thoughts
Nick580 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Just wire the tweets to a higher impeadence.
MrSkippyJ Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 If it is just some songs, it could just be the songs. F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Antonio Moore Posted February 21, 2013 Author Report Posted February 21, 2013 If it is just some songs, it could just be the songs. Ya the song the dude makes tsk tsk noise lol
Crandis16 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 sometimes on the crossovers there is a +2db, 0db, and -2db which tunes the tweeters down. I have mine on +2db for tweeters down in the door and 0db for tweeters at eye level. My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
bcbrassard Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 When you get your DEH-80PRS in you will have more tunability and tone them down some.
sweendog Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 ^this. The 80prs has a nice EQ built in
