The gain is the one labeled Level right? Whats a decent spot for that to be set at.

And whats the bass EQ for?

You set the gain to match the output from your head unit. You can only do this using an O-scope or a dd1

Bass EQ=magic smoke knob. Don't use this one.

EDIT: the only two knobs you should worry about are the level (set with a DD-1 or Oscope, otherwise don't go past 10~oclock) and the Low pass (if you're using a ported box)
