bfurry88 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Hey guy and girls, I just ordered two Pioneer Champion series subwoofers (dual 4 ohm voice coils, 1100 watt rms/3500 peak) and will be running them off of two Hifonics BRZ 1700.1D amps (one amp per subwoofer), I am wondering what size and type of battery would be recommended to replace my original battery up front..or do I need to replace the one up front and get one for the back? Should I do the Big 3 Upgrade? I just need some help on what equipment I need to get to have my system sounding nice! Not exactly sure what my box is tuned to or how many cubic ft it is, but It had the two subs sitting on top and two 6" aeroports coming out of it. Thanks for your help! Blake F
Watch the bass Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 If you can place a XS-Power D3100 up front you can be fine with one. If not do 2 batt´´s, biggest you can fit under the hood. Watch the bass Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 If you want to do a XP 3000 than would it be your trunk batt and you would be very fine. The XP 3000 have no heatprotection so they can´t be used under the hood. I would still fit the biggest D xxxx you can place under the hood. ItsMoldyYo Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I'm gonna suggest not hooking those hifonics to them pioneers and here's why!!! I used to own a champ series 12 an ran it off bxi 1610d that is a hifonics 1600 x 1 @ 1 ohm, cooked the coils, filled the back seat an trunk with smoke, those subs will handle more than the RMS says but only for about 3 months! You maybe real disappointed when yours go I suggest DC audio, just picked mine up and its badass man!!! Just some food for thought, if anything I would slightly underpower those subs they can't handle it, I tore mine apart after it was dead an found cheap thin copper wire for the coil also they don't have a spider so replacing the sub from fixmyspeaker.com is out ta the question, believe me I tried!!!
