villarob713 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 What about if they're in different boxs...say 2 cvxs in 1 box and 2 q powers in the other. On matching amps...what ohm should i go with Subs- 2 kicker cvxs 15 Amp- 1500 watt hifonics Wires-0g Deck-stock
Trey_Dog650 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 In separate boxes and amps there's no problem. As for what ohm you go with that depends on what impedance you want to be at. I recommend sticking to 1 ohm if your amp is stable that way. Takes 2 d4 subs to get there 13 Kia Forte Build! 07 Hyundai Accent Build ***Super Seller*** N8ball2013 And then he gets to say ok all you guys were right. im sorry for being a dummy poo poo head.
villarob713 Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 I believe they're at 1ohm..my cvxs are inverted does that lose spl? Its alot louder Subs- 2 kicker cvxs 15 Amp- 1500 watt hifonics Wires-0g Deck-stock
Swordlordboy1234 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 inverting subs doesnt hurt at all if you wire correctly. infact it might be louder in some cases. more internal box volume (if your lacking) and coils cool off better helping with efficiency My old YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/SwordLords1234?feature=mhee My old build log : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161872-96-accord-b2-sundown-sky-high-dc-power-re-re-build-for-heatwave/page-37 My New Build - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207041-2016-mazda-6-sql-build/ 2016 Mazda 6 Touring JL Fix 86 - OEM signal correction B2 prototype DSP 6to8 B2 Ref63 - 3 way active set 2 B2 Class H quattro's 1 B2 Zero.5R @.5 2 B2 HNv3 12 d2 B2 SLIP40 - Lithium in the trunk Northstar Group 35 under the hood 100ft 2/0 welding cable 30ft 4ga welding cable 20ft 8ga welding cable All stinger OFC speaker wire Soundrive custom RCA's Tons of attention to detail.... Trey_Dog650 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Either they are or they aren't. Did you wire them? And you might hear a difference by inverting because there's no displacement in the box 13 Kia Forte Build! 07 Hyundai Accent Build ***Super Seller*** N8ball2013 And then he gets to say ok all you guys were right. im sorry for being a dummy poo poo head.
Carbon Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 this brings me to add are you using a prefab box?
villarob713 Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 Yea i got it from a friend. I need to do a custom one its pretty loud but i want more. Theyre just bridged wired parrelel Subs- 2 kicker cvxs 15 Amp- 1500 watt hifonics Wires-0g Deck-stock

It's only when you have one in the box and the other inverted where you have to wire the one "ass out" in reverse polarity. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 The difference you heard by inverting is likely in your head. Displacement didn't go up TERRIBLY much when you threw them inverted. As far as flex, I can't imagine it changing dramatically either. Unless the box is crazy under on its internal volume for what your subs need, then maybe. Those CVX probably displace .30 cubes maybe? You never mentioned which size CVX you're running Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
