OrionStang
Just got a new laptop with Win8 and Office 13 on it. My issue is that my school uses a paper formatting program, called Riverpoint writer, that must be downloaded to the computer. However, there are only options for up to WIn7, 32 or 64 bit, and up to Office 2010. I can easily download Office 10, no worries there. But, are Win 7 programs like riverpoint compatible with Win 8? If so, would I choose the 32 or 64 bit version? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
inm
Win7 version should work just fine. Just out of curiosity, have you contacted your school about this? stevog
They should work and you either pick 32 or 64 based on your operating system if it is 32 or 64 bit.
OrionStang
Yes, contacted the school. They said they are working on it. Typical answer that translates to "we'll get to it when we feel like it, now pay us". One more question, can I have Office 2013 and Office 2010 running at the same time? OrionStang
Got curious, so I went ahead and downloaded the program for my school, the Win 7(64-bit) and Office 2010 version. Runs just fine on my setup. Windows did something right. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
beaker
I would get rid of office 2013. Licensing is per install, not per copy. That means, if you ever re-install windows, you have to purchase a new copy.
