Dylan Mohammed Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I just bought a re audio DTS 1000.1, hooked it up, turned the the gain, bass boost all the way down, and it is constantly going into protect, then go back to normal, and then go into protect, even if im not playing anything. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_32465_RE-Audio-DTS-1000.1.html Im also hearing noise coming from the sub, when i turn up the volume. Whats wrong with it?

I had a friend who had an amp that had similar problems as in he would turn it on it would light up power then go to protect after about 5 seconds but he never did get anything to play through it. He even put in new mosfets and no go. So if its worth it I would have someone look at it. Or I would just try to get your money back for it. Check your grounds first thing make sure its on bare metal and not a seat blot or something like that. P4killer_ Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 i run an re dts 500.2 and it works like a boss on my sundown comps. loud and clear never had so much as a hiccup out of it. id double check everything and if its still a no go then just return it. after all re is not what they used to be but i guess every company has some failure rate.. bad luck perhaps out of 32 reviews all but one are 5 stars pretty solid.
