sbg Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Try runing your remote wire to the red switch wire at cdplayer , some times the blue remote wire will make problems. 01 focus se 110 amp alt Big 3 sky high and stinger hpm ofc 1/0 Super start platinum AGM (starting) 2 runs of 1/0 Execution audio front to back Kenwood double DIN DDx271 A pillars- orion 4" super tweeter and 2-1" alpines. iKidwell Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT!! now, this looks so crazy because i hadn't realized it before, but the tape that i did have on it was melted under a few layers, so i peeled that off and saw the wire, and realized that the jacket around the wire had also melted off of it. Now the wire looks burnt, like crispy, and not golden at all. I'm assuming that this is the problem..i've gone over everything else, but i'm pretty sure it's this, which is an easy fix as it's the short part of my power wire going from battery to fuse. c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress

SkarredSierra Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 i would suggest fully removing all wiring and checking it very closely for any shorts or broken connections or discolored wire. it really may just be your wiring. i had an amp give out on me one time and fried my rcas and burnt a bunch of my wire up but didnt affect the insulation enough to tell. strong surges of power do weird things. id recomend just maybe getting a whole new kit. you can get a knukonceptz 0 gauge kit on amazon for like 60 bucks. if that doesnt fix it id say you still have an issue with your head unit. pioneer is a great company but everyone has a few duds in a million products.
Nikitaaa Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Can't you just use another 12v signal that turns off and on with the car? Maybe an ignition wire or something. Tap into that and run the wire to your amp. 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw
