philip
can i use a reg. cheap automotive paint gun for glue? if so what size tip and what kind of glue do you guys normally use to carpet boxes. i was thinking contact cement. i'm just looking for a cheaper way to do things and have better coverage. the can ones are okay and i've even used the 3m landau top glue. works really good but think at 17 bucks a can i can find a cheaper alternative. I know I had a buddy at another shop that used contact cement in a regular gun... sprayed it in a nice spider web pattern... At work we use this one spray glue... i'll have to look tomorrow, the shit is amazing. Sprays an awesome pattern and works better than any of the 3M stuff I've used. It is relatively cheap also, I'll check what it is tomorrow. -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune. That's what I was trying to remember when I was posting it... i wanna say he didn't. He went to wyotech, so he knows his shit when it comes to that stuff. If I see him at the bar tonight I'll ask him if he thinned it. -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune.
