corey0928
Good luck supporting motor weight on that tiny basket Was going to say the same thing. No way a 12 spoke basket would hold that much. Probably have to design your own since most of the heavy duty baskets are locked down with patents
KiKaZz74
this one is a 8 spoke so even worse. but it is like .75" by .5" wide think ill open it and see. can change to a 16 spoke or 1" thick by .75" thick? SnowDrifter
If you are going to go custom, go really custom. Have the basket come down and surround the motor to lessen the stress on the motor bolts haha 1 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Have the basket come down and surround the motor to lessen the stress on the motor bolts haha umm. that is actually something i can work on over 2 week break when i have time. have it like the shitty kicker subs with a motor cover but have it just a few raw metal spokes like jaws on it almost? i have an idea in my head already lol Quote My SPL to SQ Build Log Vehicle:1997 Dodge Dakota Ext Cab 4x4 2009 Dodge Journey SXT5.2L V8 Magnum 3.5L V6 Stock AltEquipment: Headunit- Alpine CDE-147BT Mids/Highs Amp- JL Audio G6600 Class AB 6 Channel Sub Amp- Hifonics BRZ1700.1D @ 2 Ohms Taramps DSP3000.1D Sub- Hertz Hi Energy 12" HX300D SounDrive SDA3 12 Tweeters- Rockford Fosgate Power Series Silk Domes Hertz Hi-Energy Mids- Dayton Audio Reference 4" Full Range Drivers Midbass- Silver Flute 6.5" Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" Processor- MiniDSP 2x4 RCA- 6 channels of SounDrive HF series Wire- EB Flex 2/0 -Member of Team SounDrive
KiKaZz74
i think to change it id do a 5" by 4" long coil. add a motor support type deal, and give it more surround. this all sound good?
