For instance: The universal alt, the "fitzall", does not fit all like it claims. In order for it to fit onto my car, 2002 Honda Civic, the pulley shaft on the alternator needs to be cut down, pulley needs to get swapped, inside of the fender in the engine bay needs to be modified, and a 1/2" deep by 3" long section of the actual engine block needs to be shaved or ground out. My advice, save up some money and get a Mechman, DC Power, Singer, Ohio Generator, or Excessive Amperage.
