I like to throw some numbers at questions like this to add some perspective.

At a min voltage of 13.8V, your 80A alt is capable of ~1100W. At 14.4V you'll get maybe 1200W.

Keep in mind your amps are not 100% efficient.

Ex. You have a 1000W amp that's 75% efficient. Therefore it will actually consume ~1300W of input from your car's electrical.

Also keep in mind that your car will consume some of your alternators current as well, especially at night/air conditioning/heater/defrost/etc.

Your stock electrical should be OK but if you start playing some extended high level music then it will start draining your batteries.

Upgrading your alt is always a great idea.

There are a lot of people who complain about their amps/subs/etc... when its actually user error (bad electrical) most of the time.

IDK but from rockford its 85.6% @ 4-Ohm and that is what im gonna be running it at and trying to sell my 4awg wires to get 1/0 wires ... is that still a good idea to do ???

85% is great, less strain on your electrical. I was just throwing out some numbers for example.

The higher your efficiency the better. Less power wasted as heat.

Absolutely, 0ga is a great choice even if its more than you need.

Having extra copper going to your amps is always a good idea.

Plus the thicker wire is already run in case you want to upgrade in the future.

Fuse your power run (0ga) at 300A on the beginning and end of your cable run.

Fuse the amps at that the manuals suggest, right before the amps.
