Ive given up on photographing children a while back lol I really don't have the patience to shoot children but when you're a photographer and have 5 kids (2 of my own and 3 step kids) there's no getting out of it. I prefer shooting automotive, which I did quite a bit of when I lived in Phoenix, AZ, but now that I live in the middle of nowhere, WI there isn't much to shoot in that genre. This thread reminds me I need to get my gear out now that it's starting to get nice.
