TRON Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 I'm wondering what people are using for buss bars, because I'm going to make a few for myself. It looks like most folks buy some sort of pre-cut aluminum bars, not sure how thick though. Does anybody know what the most conductive stuff to use is besides copper? I work at a laser-cutting-steel shop and have access to a butt load of material, 6061 aluminum, 5051 aluminum, satin blend stainless, 409 stainless, 309 stainless, #4 stainless, and different grades of steel with thickness from .090 to .5" in aluminum & stainless, 1" in steel. Dd9515 king Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 The 5051 alum is the most conductive. The tap drill size just look at the chart thats probly at your work.
