Gurpreet Singh
I have a Power Acoustik CPT1-5500D amp which I'm going to replace with a SAZ-3500D when I get the money. In the mean time I've found an older amp in my room which I believe is the GTO14001E. Is there a way to link these 2 so the power adds up, then split the power equally between 2 subs? My PA amp is rated at 3kwRMS, but it's probably about 1500 and the JBL one will be a lot lower, so don't want to be pushing different amounts of power to each sub. ChevyBoy95
no, no, no. Different amps being linked is a no go. They need to be same model, same make, etc. Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/
Gurpreet Singh
If I could wire them to around the same wattage seperately would it be better to run each sub off each amp?
ChevyBoy95
i dont think you are getting this.... DONT DO IT. The technology behind each amp is different, therefore there is no perfect recipe for two COMPLETELY different amps to always match wattage. Im done. White Lightning
I like the single driver / single amplifier setup best. Never been fond of linking amplifiers ...
