newls1 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Do you have a voltmeter or Digital multimeter.....take a small wire and run a jumper from the 12v positive on the amps to the turn on..if they turn on your remote wire is the problem. yup, do this first..... that will tell you your answer. should only take about 30sec to do I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny

ED2KSR Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 Turns out it was the first fuse closest to battery. A friend used one of those electrical locators. No power was getting to the amps. He checked the 4 gauge power cable before the fuse and there was power. He then checked the power cable after the fuse and there was not power. Although the fuse looked intact, we switched it and... what do you know, it worked. There was power to the amps and sound from the speakers. The fuse STILL looks to me like if it's intact. But it isn't. I am very glad that it was a fuse and not anything more serious. But I have to figure out what caused the fuse to got out in the first place. Any suggestions on what could have caused the fuse to go out (protecting my system) would be appreciated. If there are any replies, great. If not, there is some closure already with the issue as the system is running again. Once again, THANK YOU for all your advice. Surely needed and truly appreciated.
