ED2KSR Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Wife gets home from work. Says she hasn't heard anything from the speakers all day. I go check and realize that both amps are not powering up. I verified the power connection from battery to fuse(closest to battery), to the fused distribution block, to the power connection of both amps. Everything seems in order. No fuses are blown and the headunit is running. Have no idea what is the cause. Any advice on what should be done to figure out what the problem could be? Any help would be appreciated. I'll be on the look out for replies. Thank you.

ED2KSR Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 I cannot say that I verified that the remote was "powering on" the amps. I assumed that the power is going to get to the amps period as the remote would just be to make sure it turns on/off when head unit is powered on/off. Correct? Will have to verify.
Kyblack76 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Meter time..... Edit - do ya have DCv at the amps at the powerIN and then when running, is the remote then also hot? SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
CleanSierra Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 hahaha Kyle. As said, likely it's gonna be your remote turn on for the reason the amps aren't turning on. If they aren't lighting up, it's a remote issue. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Amps can have great power and ground connection, as yours do, and without a 12V remote in that is GOOD, TO ACTUALLY turn the amp on, the amp won't turn on. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
