Sub facing direction in Trunk.

So I have heard numerous things about sub positon in trunk of car as of now my ports and subs fire backwards towards rear bumper but i also see setups where subs and port fire into the car cabin as well. Does that make a difference in your music numbers or spl numbers?

You always have sub and port fire towards the back unless you have it completely walled, then you fire forward.

every car is different. sub/port back is a safe bet. but I recommend you test to find out what you like better in your car

i mean you can wall it off in the trunk with the subs forward and port top thru the rear deck too its all up to you but you need the air in the cabin to be sealed off if subs forward

if you do port through shelf seald off you can created the affect of a 4th and get real low as box is tuned low (and not like a 4th tuned high)

ive dont this on mine with sub and port rear, sealed my trunk as best i can (and still keep usable) and run 2x 6" aeros through the rear shelf tuned to approximately 120hz, making it more like a 6th took me about 3hr or so to get the tune right but you could here the difference straight away in the cabin
