I run 8's simply because it fits my application. Am i expecting to hit like i had 18's. Nope. But i know what i have is pretty damn good. I keep hearing only reason for companies to sell 8's its strictly for marketing and making money. Do i think its COOL cause i have 8's and it surprises people.. HELL YEAH. but i have a single cab truck and it works for me to run 8's. could i run 12's. probably but my nutsakk would get steering wheel burn. Granted it was multiple 8's with plenty of power. But the people that are saying that 8's are pointless, are the same people that are saying that 18's can't play punchy notes without being sloppy.
