Are your back windows tinted?

Nope, even if they were, tinted windows won't hide much at all in a coupe, where you can look in the doors or through the windshield and see the back seat clear as day.

Some tint is better than no tint.

If I do this frame/cover, nobody can see the subs. Will be cheaper, slightly more secure, and easier. So as long as it doesn't negatively affect the sound too much, then I'm going to do that. I will probably tint the windows later on, but not any time soon, and not just so people can't see subs in the back seat.

2001 Mustang? A decent 12 is all you need. Maybe a pair sealed. 15's are just too big for the car, unless you wall it.

Well, I've already got them, don't feel like selling them to get a 12(or 12's) just yet, so, do you think that my idea would work, without affecting the sound (too badly anyways)?

Look at all the build logs in my sig. I know a little about Mustang builds LOL. Yes, I even had 2 15's in a back seat box (temporary). If you don't wall the car, 1 12 or 2 10's is your best bet, and will probably be louder than your backseat 15's.

Good luck.

I love how people ask for help then don't take the advise LOL

I'm willing to take advise, but I was hoping I would get advise that would help in this case. I am most likely going to do what orion has suggested, but telling me to tint the windows? That will do nothing, so I obviously won't take that advise.

So if you don't know everything that's happening, offer your own advise, or keep the jackass comments to yourself.

Well then do the frame/cover thing if you already have your mind made up. If it does affect your sound quality then that's gonna be something your gonna have to live with. It's either that or have your subs fully exposed. Or just listen to other peoples advise. Orionstang has a lot of experience with his mustang so you should listen to what he's saying.

What subs are they? Maybe trade them for some 12's or 10's.

He was taunting me. He's all like "come at me bro!" So I'm like "I'm coming at you bro!" And he's like "hey, fuck you" *chomp*. Then I killed it. I win.

And I just said I will be going with what orion said, probably one 12 in the trunk, whenever I can sell the 15's

Tinting the windows won't do much at all. Somebody looks in the back, sure, it'd help a bit in that sense. But if somebody decides "hmm.. there's 3 other untinted windows" and looks in one of those 3, then the tint has done nothing.
