My stinger meter is accurate to within .2v even though it's calibrated. It tends to lose accuracy above and below whatever voltage I calibrated it at. 90% of people don't have a need for an $80 volt meter like a VM-1. For most of us, we just need the volt meter to see if there is a big issue like dropping to 11.5 or something.
