I know they reciprocate. I know they reciprocate. once you move to georgia, you are considered a resident of georgia, therefore i do not believe your florida permit is honored anymore, as your florida permit is a resident permit and you are no longer a florida resident, therefore invalidating your florida permit. you must be a georgia resident for 6 months. once you meet that qualification, go to your local probate judge, and get the ball rolling. atlanta area is horrible, but most everywhere else is decently fast. here in my town, it is usually one day from application to having your license in hand. atlanta is usually 6 month wait just to get fingerprinted. what part of georgia are you in now? you can check out www.georgiapacking.org to get the run down on everything. I guess I'm on a six month vacation. I got my license in the mail on Tuesday, may 14,2013.
