Well, fuck, what if your HU is twisted pair, and your amps input is coax? Guess ill keep the twisteds in and order some coax, just in case.

yeah, that i have no clue what you would do i know tony says in his video but, like a lot in his videos it kinda went over my head i think.

i got lucky and all my stuff so fair is all twisted

If the head unit has SE outputs and the amplifier has SE inputs = coax cable

If the head unit has SE outputs and the amplifier has Diff inputs = twisted pair

If the head unit has Diff outputs and the amplifier has Diff inputs = twister pair

If the head unit has Diff outputs and the amplifier has SE inputs = bad no matter what as you will shorting out half of the head unit's outputs. In this case you would need an amplifier with Diff inputs or a converter to convert the head unit's outputs to SE

Edit: also was wrong about the pioneer deh 80prs it is coax not twisted. just went to car and double checked

put your dmm on continuity setting or ohm if it doesn't have the continuity setting. then ground the - lead and touch the outter ring of the rca with the + lead if it has continuity its coax if not its twisted.

video tells it as well i'll repost

That's easy. Ill buy an RCA and solder dmm leads

Scion tC SQ Build
iPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily driven
Ford Explorer C Pillar Wall Build

Just a cheap car to destroy with bass :D

just as easy to do it normal way only need the + lead to test with the - will be grounded to battery, then as above just touch/poke whatever you prefer lol the outer ring of the rca output of the h/u,amp, etc...

AQ have differential inputs, I tested no connection at RCA with DMM.
