Ben Fultz
thing is, i can pick up a 0-scope at a pawn... but i used a multimeter in the past, and after the tedious math, i came to the conclusion that at 3/11 gain, and 60/400 lpf i had a clean signal.. well, no thanks.. i dont wanna keep my system at 1/6th its potential.. If the signal isn't clean, its not potential ( unless you want "potentially" damaged subs.) If your amp isn't putting out enough clean power, then upgraded to a bigger amp that does put out enough clean power. Just because you have dial left doesn't mean you should turn it. Just because you have dial left doesn't mean you should turn it. x2 on that. had a co-worker try to tell me to set my gain up all the way cause... and i quote... "not each bass note in every song hits as hard as the rest so therefore some notes, you may get your full potential and others you won't. Turn your gain up so you get the full potential on every note". Ok sure, got the money to replace my equipment when it blows/fries/whatever else it wants to do? I know that's not directly related, but ppl here? know their stuff. you can do all the math you want, grab as many multimeters you want... idc. get a dd1 or a o-scope and set it right. If what it's telling you is "1/6 of it's potential" according to your math? your math can go out the window. These tools have been made because of... quite simply... people like you. "Well my math says I can do this"... so why did your sub blow? The tools are made to take out all math, all guesswork, ect. You find out what point you clip, what point there's bad signal, ect ect and stop. No guessing. No anything. It literally tells you. Want to "reach your full potential"? Get a bigger amp, get bigger electrical, get whatever then. Sheena = pedobear

BASEheadDAN
Hmm, not trying to look like i know it all bud, im just asking a question.
