dereileak
Hey guys, I have a few questions, geared towards Nathan. Well first my d3100 that I have in the rear of my car is dead, or at least 1 cell in it is, it drops down below 10.8 after a small load of around 15 amps for a couple minutes, I imagine a load of 100 amps and it would fall on its face, but I already have that taken care of, im sending that in for them to look at it. XS power has been really good so far with talking with them and getting me taken care of. D3100 after a 15 amp load for a few minutes D3100 Resting voltage 24 hours off the intellecharger Both batteries in this install are about 2 years and 4 months old. My d3400 I have upfront seems to be doing good charge wise, but it looks to me like it has leaked, which these batteries are not supposed to do. My mazda3 doesnt charge above 14.2 due to the way mazda made the alts and even my mechman. I put both batteries on my intellecharger almost every night to make sure they are topped off for a long life span. Let me know what you think of the pictures, it appears something is leaking from the cracks, it has stained into the plastic even after cleaning it, and the stickers all fell apart. I really dont wanna have to pay to ship 2 batteries, but if its an issue I guess I will. Thanks D3400 Pictures (Sits in the engine bay protected by plastic Coverings) Edited April 24, 2013 by dereileak Quote 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)

n8ball2013
its a sealed AGM battery. I dont think there is anything to leak on them. It may be water or something that has discolored the side of the battery. Chris Hammer
I think batterys like that can physically be punctured and not leak...didnt Simone post a vid on here of them making odysseys and the sealed agm are spillproof? isn't that white top able to be seperated from the grey body? Maybe water in between both pieces. Your resting voltage doesn't look bad to me...load test seams weird but o don't know enough to comment Quote MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going. SnowDrifter
What's your charging voltage? Those are VRLA batteries(as are many AGMs). Meaning that they are sealed during normal use, but will vent out if too much pressure builds. If you are charging too high you can cause the batteries to gas off their electrolyte, rendering them useless. Been there done that lol. That's how I know.Regarding the d3400: mix up some baking soda and water and drizzle it on the stains. If it fizzes, it's acidic and probably does have a leak of some sort. If not there is no need to worry Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
SnowDrifter
Oh... And smell the stuff on the side of the battery.
