With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. But resistors for sure.... Maybe double check ur ohm load at amp w/ only one there? Might end up throwin some wierd impedence and do some harm to subs/amp...? He^^ Would know better than I tho. Forevrbumpn Posted February 13, 2008 Report Share Posted February 13, 2008 regular resiters... resisters of that magnitude or more better for wattage handling, but only from like 5watt- 30 watt, unlike the 1/4 watt resitors you see on the rest of the amp board. You can buy those resistors to make your own home made crossovers, I have lots and lots of them In a crossover you use them to attenuate sound, to make a tweeter or mid louder or quietr by manipulating its resistance Higher impedance quieter, lower resistance, louder.... audiofanaticz Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 13, 2008 The amp is in my spare tire well with a 3" piece of foam on the bottom and top of it the box is kinda resting on top of the foam, trying to stop the amp from moving. but my trunk floor is just moving and i cant stop it no matter what. So Im sure it rattled loose lol the ones in the rf amp read RCD K6-481 5W 3K J I got a kicker kx650.4 chillig here with 5WO.1(Ohm symbol)J so they may be pretty close in size? I was gonna take the good one out the rf and try to see what it puts out for numbers on my dmm, and then do the same with the kicker ones. Whats could happen if you put larger or smaller resistors in? Theres all kinds of things i want to do to this amp. bigger fets, power supply etc...
