SMZ2 Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 So here is my issue... I thought it was the alt, then I thought it was the ground for my amp but I have fixed both and I am still having issues.... Well I just tested the voltage and turned it up halfway... Well the voltage on my bass amp is 13.2 right now but my 2 channel and battery voltage is right back up to 14.2-14.4... I don't know what else to troubleshoot for. Could the new ground be to tight of something? I'm not sure where I'm getting interference from... Please help! Thanks guys... SnowDrifter Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Basically the sub amp isn't charging back up... I'm just not sure what is causing this. Because you have voltage drop somewhere on the line. Which is most likely caused my a poor connection somewhere. Either loose, or it's bad from the start like a bad ground location or it wasn't sanded. How are you measuring voltage? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Guest Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 resistance in the connection used for the sub amp
Leo1103 Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 check all your connections between the sub amp and your battery bank, I can almost guarantee that's where the problem is. Do what Snow said, check all your connections and fuses 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding... OrionStang Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Change the fuses out. Check connections for corrosion. Use your volt meter, start at the batt and check the power wire voltage just past every connection working back. EDIT: Dang ninjas! SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

SMZ2 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Report Posted April 17, 2013 The fuse doesn't look blown... Should I replace it anyway? The new ground I made has no rust though its hard to tell under the car... But it seemed to be rust free and it was with a brand new bolt My Build Log!http://www.stevemead...nissan-xterror/ Check the Youtube Channel for Updates!http://www.youtube....ser/Xterror2002And Seller Feedbackhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/163179-bought-from-smz2/#entry2363713
