RooTxBeeR Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 I built my box yesterday and installed it, along with that I Retuned my amps. Before it was at 62 of 62, this time I set it to 40 so I wouldn't have to go all the way up to 62 for the max. Before when I would hit 61 my clipping light would come in a little bit from my bass knob. Now 33+ with the knob even at half the light goes off like crazy. Should I be worried? I have yet to smell anything but I'm somewhat scared to go to 40. Also, I get alt wine and turn signal noises through my speakers, I do have a pioneer headunit, so for that I'm looking at a blown pico fuse right? Guest Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 why did you retune your amps to make max power at less volume? do you hotswap rcas? plugging/unplugging with the headunit on?
wmrcs Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Not sure about the clipping light, but ground your RCA's for the whine. E34 540iT/6

Because having to go all the way up to 62 has come to be a bit annoying. And as far as the rca questions, I don't know, 80prs headunit and r300.4 stinger 6000 series, is the equipment involved if you happen to know. Not sure about the clipping light, but ground your RCA's for the whine. Ok I figured just wanted to make sure On 11/20/2012 at 8:54 PM, AMI CUSTOMS said: Turned mine up today at a light, guy next to me his steering wheel started moving and he looked over at me like I was a magician lol. RooTxBeeR Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 I retuned, the alt wine is gone, but the clipping light still comes on way earlier and way more frequent than it did before. RooTxBeeR Posted April 28, 2013 Author Report Posted April 28, 2013 Could I get a beautiful day bump on my question conscerning my clipping light on the gain knob, it goes off way earlier and way more often than it previously did. Although I still can reach the subs mechanical limit, I am going to put the SSF a bit higher. I have yet to actually smell the sub, it does got hot but it is loud enough now, where half way is fine to cruise with, and when I want to show off or hit hard for a while and can go full tilt for a song then take it easy.
