justin0943
why are you letting it drop that low?? that puts so much stress on your electrical you don't even know. dropping below 12v = bad because I only have a stock 90 amp alt that sucks and yeah I know its bad but did the big 3 help a lot it used to drop 9v now it more stable at 11v. 02 dodge ram 1500 reg cab 3rd gen 2 sundown sd-2 d4 soundstream rub1.2500 amp all sky high car audio-fuse,fuse holder, wire, ring lugs and rca flex tech box design by Joe X supension-mcgaughys 2in drop spindal ,western chassis 6in flip kit, buddy custom c-notch 04 5.7l hemi motor swap and made it an slt eletric everthing youtube channel-http://www.youtube.c...43?feature=mhee http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190882-02-dodge-ram-1500-3rd-gen/
NancyDrew
You will only get 13.7V max, out of that electrical system. Have a 2002 Club Cab dodge dakota. You must have the Denso alt. as well. However mine is a 140A. Cheapest way out of this is go to the Junk Yard, and find the 140 amp alt. and buy it for around 30 dollars:).

Guest
stop stressing the fuck out of your electrical system (and the amps) by letting the voltage drop that low. seriously. stop it. if not, you better like spending hundreds of dollars on new equipment. KiKaZz74
I've got a 97 dakota with a 138a alt. I've noticed lately it only charges at 13.8 but that's wired into my HU instead of amps so its a little more stable. I drop to high 11 low 12s full tilt idle. Dakotas kinda suck to do big 3 on. Atleast mine did. Not much room for running wire. NancyDrew
Keep in mind the pcm controls the voltage to a set point of around 13.7V max. There is a kit to bypass the pcm, it comes with a voltage regulator as well. It will get you up to 14.5V. It's around 50 bucks.
