pstone11 Posted June 18, 2013 Author Report Posted June 18, 2013 Holy crap - I thought I updated this at work this morning! Probably got sidetracked and never posted it so now I feel like a jerk. So progress - - had to get the new head unit all good to go, new amps for the front 10 tweets since the 2 that came with it were stellar and matched the rest of the truck.... one worked on it's own terms and the other one was kind of a freak and would only work when you slap it around a bit. Had some issues with getting the sub amps all tuned with the DD1 but we got it worked out and they are all happy now. Other than that, the weather has sucked really really bad and it has rained most every afternoon. I also have another car that is hanging out with the hummer and is sharing some of it's time.. So, I'm waiting on one little item to show up in the mail and I should have everything ready to get those tweets crossed over and loud. Ummmm. here is one whole picture because I suck at taking them I guess... And here is this picture again since it is just awesome... My fam is taking off for a long summer vacation here pretty shortly so I'm going to spend some time with my kids before they go, Progress will continue after that!! Big boston acoustics fan here, but I pray those amps work for you. I've had a couple GT sand both have crapped out on me. Had a gt2300 2 channel and another like 600watt 2 channel. Both had properly set gains with a dd-1 and I dunno what happened but one crapped out completely and the the GT2300 just could not push one of my SPG's and it was recommended that you can run two off this amp, but just got way too hot and would go into a reduced power state...I know there is no such thing but that's the best way to describe it. I've had better luck with their GTA amps, seemed like my buddies 5 channel amp was able to preform really well. Anyhow just sharing my experience with them I honestly hope I just got a bad batch of amps. Keep up bro like I said this thing looks tit-ays! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!
