boostin302 Posted May 2, 2013 Report Share Posted May 2, 2013 hello all out there. let me start off by saying i currently have a box with the port through the rear deck. im not completely happy with as i believe it can be better. the car is a 2001 mustang GT. current box specs are 15"h x 34"w x 27"d ( outside specs) i was thinking about having the port and subs forward instead of subs forward and port through rear deck would this be better? currently, its sealed off from trunk ( as of last night) and its just not what i expected i guess. 2 12" treo SSX subs, 2 hifonics brutus 2400.1 amps ( strapped). for some reason, its not louder ( to ear) when its sealed, it actually sounds quieter. guess overall question is, subs and port foward (sealed off) be better or stay with port through rear deck and throw more power at it. Your best bet is showing some pictures of what you have, I don't want to start imagining how is it that you have thing in there, also sealing off in Mustangs have not resulted in great gains it seems.
