Sutliff
I am planning to use the 4awg of POS & NEG I have already run in my car to power my upgrade in amps ... Rockford T400-2 & a T500-1bdCP. POS & NEG into good dist blocks then some 4awg POS & NEG Knu out to each amp. I am also installing a brand new MechMan 170A alternator, & sticking with an OEM-type BATT that is in great shape. Also will take care of the Big 3, though it will only be in 2awg. I am not going to be in competitions with this car, etc., ... it is just for bumping around town & road trips .... not going to be pulling low, low end for looong periods of time. I suppose the first downfall of my intentions are the single 4awg to run two rather high-end, high-drawing amp, yes? What I am changing from, & changing to should be pretty clear in my Sig. Thanks for any comments ... OrzechNJ
since u going to do big 3 why dont u make a single run of 0 gauge and split it to two 4 gauge ? sometimes Loud is NOT pretty Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over. Sutliff
For right now, it is semi-money issue, & semi because I am partially disabled & it was a bitch to run the 4. I suppose what I am asking is what should I expect until I can go back through & do the wiring better ... until I can afford $125+ in cable & battery post terminals, etc. Zeke '14 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Vehicle Details & Mod List: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/1703-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss/ Audio Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/143276-2003-chevy-monte-carlo-ss-audio-build-ib-build Pioneer FH-P8000BT Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Fi IB3 (Two 12", 2-ohm SVC) RF T400-2 & T500-1bdCP MechMan S Series 240A XS Power D3400 & D975
BoomZoom808
I just took out my extra battery and have been running my 2 amps just fine on a single run of 4 ga OFC. Though both of my amps are class D and rated rather high on efficiency. You should be fine even if it is less than ideal. Just make sure you are using OFC and you are properly fused. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON

Sutliff
Good with the OFC, & will be fused within 18" of BATT, & within 12" of each amp after dist blocks. 3 fuses in all - actually I go circuit breakers.
