When you wire your voltmeter (a simple three wire one), are you supposed to wire it the to the battery, the fuse block, the amp terminals, etc? I was thinking the amp terminals seeing that the power comes from the alt before the battery. In this way you could see the actual voltage going to your amplifier. Any suggestions are appreciated.
P4killer_ Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 if you want to see the voltage of the amp, then I always measured voltage at the amp itself.. makes sense to me.. you could measure at the rear batt. but it wont be AS accurate.. SnowDrifter Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 I wire mine into my amp. Like literally: Put the leads of the meter into the inputs on the amp along with the power wire.
