Cablguy184's 1949 Ford Custom Tudor Sedan

Recommended Posts

Glad to see this is around i was afraid it died.

The car still gets driven just about every day and alot of measurements have been taken.

We just need to get it into the body shop and get the metal work done so we can move on to some fiberglass work ...

Plus ... I had to put it on hold for a bit so I could build a small system for my son's 88 Ford Truck.

Turned out WAY better than I had origionally planned.

As soon as I can get the dash completely out of the car, we will be building dash pods for the 5.25" component set and center port for the kick pannels ... Yes, the kick pannels will be ported and tuned with the ports directed to the center of the dash as if it is a center channel ...

5.25" component set will be ported and tuned to, I'm not going to ell where those ports are going until I post pics. You guys would not believe me if I actually told you how it's going to end up ?? I will have you scratching your heads with this one !!!

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

Going to be infinite baffles cutting through the kick and sealed off. Possibly sealed enclosures, not to familiar with the sound laws of your state.

Gonna sound beast no matter what you do!

Thanks Brother ...

If you look at that pic of my dash and firewall ... You will see to identical "air vents" going comming from the front cap of the car. Now I will not be using those air vents cause there will be air conditioner installed, but I do plan to use those vents ...

Sounds like you got this thing ready to go!

I'll have to check this out some year when I head to Louisiana.

I would have stopped by last year, but I didn't realize you offered it up till after I had already left; and then I drove right through Jackson.

Yah, Yah, I know. This car should be playing music by now. But has been put on hold for a while.

Well if nothing goes wrong, She will be going into the body shop this weekend for some work.

Anyhow, Got some goodies in from my good friend Mike from Hyper Lights !!!

like I told him with the headlights, I wanted something you would not see on any other 49, 50, or 51 Ford.

So he had me a custom set of taillights made for ole "Plum Crazy" !!!

He gave me a choice of clear lenses or smoke lenses ...

Me and Dylan (my Son) is thinking more Clear. Beings it will have a purple LED integrated into the brake lights to give it a more of an "old school Blue Dot" incert.

However, I'm thinking the smoked lenses will look cooler with the "Frenched in" effect we are doing with this car ...

(we are dechroming this car as much as possible).

What do you guys think ???
