Guest
lol who's done this? horrible idea. you need the battery/batteries to act as a buffer
Kyblack76
NO !!!.. voltage peak and valleys would be very harmful. As kran said, you need a buffer. /thread SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold

SnowDrifter
That's what I do. If all your electrical pieces are connected it doesn't make a difference. Battery and alt are in parallel. So whichever one you choose to draw from doesn't matter. I haven't noticed any difference doing it either way. I did it because it saves some wire clutter. You could even make the argument that from the alt is better since it's one less connection for the current to travel ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

SnowDrifter
so whats the point of batts? Start your car, they have SOME capacitance which helps to stabilize your voltage, and to assist your alternator when current demand exceeds what it can put out ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
