IMO most stock alts will not benefit from 1/0, my stocky is only 110 amps, my ofc 4ga handles 150amps at 20ft, so a 2ft run from alt to batt is not your bottleneck. black05alti Posted May 18, 2013 Report Share Posted May 18, 2013 Ok so I have debated wiring in another battery. I have changed out most of the wires under my hood. Not to 1/0 going to do that soon. My system is 1200rms.my lights dim on low beam with the radio half way up. To fix this am I going to have to wire up another battery? Or would a capacitor fix that? I'm sure that the big 3 in 1/0 would help. do not get a capacitor.. if you still have dimming problems after beefing up all the wiring then add a 2nd battery.
