bass juggernaut
I want to know what the in's and out's, the do's and dont's and the must have's for .25 - .35 - .5 or in my case .33 ohm's this is what i have 6x AB XD-1044's off a BC3500 being fed by a Mechman 270 through 2x runs of KNU OFC 1/0 to a SK-BT100 battery. also i know the BC3500 is .5 ohm stable so if i take "box rise" in to account (haven't measured yet) will i be safe??? ChevyBoy95
you cant count on box rise if you are running it like that daily. your ohm load changes rapidly therefore if the nominal load isnt ideal, then dont do it. if you are burping and you know your rise, then you account for it and wire low expecting to rise above .5 box rise gets thrown around on this forum like it is the safety net to all low ohm load wiring. i personally wouldnt go that low unless you have super beefy electrical, which you dont. bkolfo4
When you see people say they are running at ".35", 99.9% of them are referring to the DCR and are actually running .5 nominal impedance.
