Single-DIN Down-Opening Touchscreen?

Recommended Posts

Alright guys, this might be a dumb question, but i have a 96 cherokee. and the only opening for a HU is just a single din (unless i found a new place for the heater/cooler controls, which i'd rather not do.) anyway, there's only that opening, and i want a touch screen HU, but if i got a slide out single din, it would have to open down since there is a lip from the dash going right over the HU.

does anybody know if there is such a thing as a single din touch screen HU that the screen slides down rather than up?

Youre pretty much limited to nothing when it comes to quality with a downward facing touchscreen. I know boss and power acoustik make ones that fold outwards then down.

best thing i saw was the single din with the big face that stays out

Posted

I know PA makes one that is stationary and touchscreen. But a little unsophisticated.

Then they have this thing, again not as sophisticated as a nicer unit but it still does the job. It doesnt hang outrageously low either and is still a touchscreen model.
