I dont want an entertainment system, i bought a gaming system to play GAMES, not watch TV. It is now a "entertainment" system. I know it will appeal to regular families and probably increase there profits, but they completely neglected the true and casual gamers who like to sit down with friends, or play by themselves or with teams online, and PLAY the games. Adding the fee and shit is ridiculous and essentially makes it a PC. It is like paying for an access code on PC/steam. Plus even with a 500GB hdd, it will fill quick with the average gamer. I own probably about 30 games or more. GTA 5 alone, is expected to be 50+gb or some shit. Most games are like 7-12gb. That right there is VERY limiting for a true gamer. maybe im wrong, but unless they change some stuff, PS will have a new player. Guest Posted May 21, 2013 Report Share Posted May 21, 2013 the no backwards compatibility thing is completely understandable when they switched to a completely different architecture (x86 from whatever the fuck they used before). they would literally have to either A) put a 360 motherboard in there, or B ) build and test an emulator that will play the previous gen games on the ONE. both unfeasible from a business perspective. sony did A with the release gen/build of the PS3. sold for what, like $800? and they still lost money on every one sold.
