doug118
Deaden the living hell out of the roof and use windshield caulking to seal the sunroof to the sheetmetal. You can even glue a 1/4" piece of plywood to the roof for a little extra support 2001 Tahoe. You can even glue a 1/4" piece of plywood to the roof for a little extra support If I don't get rid of the sunroof, I will probably do that. Otherwise I am going to PL 3/4 inch MDF to the roof. I would try the cheaper route first. I wasn't sure if you wanted to go as extreme as 3/4 but get birch, not mdf. You can also drill a few holes in the wood under the sunroof and let loose with a couple cans of expanding foam. I think you'll be surprised at how solid the roof would be after that 2001 Tahoe. CXMaudio
I have just a quick update here.... I am going to have my sunroof removed for $400. The guy that is doing it, said he will put some good bracing on the roof. He won't be able to work on it for about two weeks. In the meantime will just remove the sunroof and drive around with plastic taped to my roof This way I will still be able to work on the wall. CXMaudio
Now that I have my sunroof out I can start working on the build some more. good bye sunroof. Hello duct tape.... this is just temporary until I get it fixed There is white plastic covering the roof. I just put the black duct tape over it to help it look a little better. lol My YouTube Chanel: http://www.youtube.com/user/cxmaudio *subscribe*
