Nothing wrong with cutting the rear deck on the chevelle.

BTW I own a 66 chevelle. I like your chevelle. I don't have a radio in mine. My music is my flat tappet 427 BB :)

Yeah I already had to trim those odd holes in the back once before to fit the 6x9's in. I Don't think it has way too much structural support and as much torque as I have I'm highly doubtful this would make the frame twist anymore than it does now, plus I want to re-do the entire floor pan. That'll all depend on cash for a little bit, not exactly cheap to get it shipped in one sheet (not including the trunk pan, but still). And I need to make sure I can get the help from my old boss since he has all the equipment I'll need to do it.

My music time is 70% engine/30% bass lol.

Looking good man. And all of you hating on Alan I don't see you trying anything like this so sit down shut up and just let the man do his thing and maybe take notes. This is a one of a kind woofer and he can do with it what he damn well pleases, it's not like he is trying to mass produce it or anything so please for the sake of all that is holy let the man build.

Ok, so a little update. Parts ordered from Sundown yesterday, so those will be here within a few weeks. I'm still deciding whether to cheaply order another ring or not, I'll have that done by today depending on the prices I can get.

Went to pepboys yesterday and got me some goods last night. All of this will be used to restoring and building the chevelle back up as well as the system:

Glad to see you have jack stands. Had a guy I knew that was working under a car that didn't have jack stands. Yep you can guess what happened. He isn't with us anymore. Be safe.

word of advice... get a bigger jack.

also. spend the money on a good one. since your lifting your car up with it.. and need to go under it to place jackstands.
HB jacks are shit. they will be fine then all of a sudden drop.

HB jacks are shit. they will be fine then all of a sudden drop.

I won't be under the car with any of these alone, they're only to get the car up so I can place wood or cinder blocks underneath.
