Very nice recone write up. I feel like building my cvr motor now lol maybe into a 8" sub so i can stick it in my gfs car. But alan sick work on this neo sub if it stays together and doesnt send the soft parts into orbit cause of the motor force then it should be one of the beastlyest woofers made

great write up man. I'll be sure to print it out for when I'm working lol

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

don't want to make a whole new thread, just a quick yes or no will do.

Doing a 2/0 run from the alt to the battery with a 350a fuse since it's a 320amp alt. From the front battery to the rear will it be alright with 2 runs of 1/0 and 300a fuses at each end of both wires if 1 of them is high quality CCA and 1 is SCHA OFC ?

It's a little different than the usual parallel fuse design since it's 2 fully separate wires from end to end, and since I don't expect 1 fuse to be so poorly conductive that it would force 300a to go through the other I would be amazed if it was a problem but I figured I'd ask since it can't hurt. (assuming all the fuses are at the same relative lengths and the wires are near equal conductivity and resistance)

So can anyone advise on spider setup here? Should I run just the 6-spider pack? Or will it be too soft with all my motor force? I could run another spider or 2 on the 9" landing below if you think just 1 or 2 would do the trick.

probably just the single 6-pack will be fine as long as you dont use a way over sized box or go way below tuning

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

I saw the triple lead spider and my immediate thought was, "Holy shit, 6 voice coils?!"

Dont run 2 diff size spiders.

If your expecting to build this one and once only have fun.

Your going to probly build a few recones to get it right.

When i ordered my parts they quoted me 8 nsv3 spider packs for 4 subs... Im glad i reqlized before payment cause 2 of those spider packs ( instead of just the 2 stiff spiders per sub) would have been a tad much lol
