Slowly getting there! You should get a carbon fiber cone for this, that is all that is missing IMO <3 lol

So I went for round 2 ghetto 20 Hz testing tonight and decided that I would try to use the sony stereo I used on the first woofer, get it all hooked up, play the 20Hz tone with it bridged across both channels, sends it straight to protect. Run it into only 1 channel on the stereo but I forgot this was a D4 coil wired to a 2-ohm load, and the sony is supposed to take 8-ohms on each channel lol. It worked on the first woofer because I ran that coil in series, but the 2-ohm super neo? Not so much. So I start up a 20 Hz tone, but the AUX cord is tweaked and only transmits the full signal at one weird angle I can never make it stay at, so it's cutting in and out as I'm trying to adjust. It starts a 10Hz-200Hz sweep, I let it play though then go back to the 20Hz, I start it up, turn the volume and pop-arooni, monstered the stereo and fried it I believe.

Either that, or I blew some internal fuses maybe. Don't know exactly how those stereo internals work.

I'm considering wall socketing the jacked up D4 coil since the former is bent anyway, because I have an extra left-over progressive roll spider that I'm not going to use, and I can probably use the pulp cone without gluing it so I can still use it for a real recone later.

I tried it like I said, just not with my car amps lol. I didn't expect to get home so late, so tomorrow I'll be back at 5, if everything is working then I'll try it.

I'm not sure the coil is good lol, I tried DMMing it and was getting some weird readings, so I tried to 9v test it and it popped once, but not again......

So it might be a blown coil lol or the lead connections are jacked and I need to redo them.

(Shhhh don't tell anyone but I'm low-key dragging the build out so that it's done in time for SOTM because they probably have the best prizes around christmas I'm hoping it's like $300 worth of deadener hahaha because I won't have a dime for anything after the electrical is done )
