if one were to use

Per front door speakers like these sundown , skar, etc...

example

2 x VX1-ST 1" Bullet Neodymium Super Tweeter's

2 x PAX-6.5 Pro Audio 6.5" Speaker

$560 and up both doors

VS

per front door two sets of 6.5" components in the higher levels of

hertz milli

focal kr kr2

Rockford T5652s

etc..

$2000 and up both doors

Off the required amps to power them Would the first setup be louder than the second but have less sound quality/clarity or would the second setup be louder and have better sound quality. these two setups are also in two diff price ranges and is it worth it for daily use no comps. I am talking about listening in car and not 20 30 feet away in a parking lot like I have seen on youtube when some people compare speakers not looking for that. I want really loud and clear in car not sure if you can even compare setups this way maybe even used for two diff applications that's why I' m asking. Thanks for the help and if this has been talked about please send me a link to where it is posted

You'd only need one ST1 per door honestly for 2 mids. From dealing with pro audio, the paxs are loud and clear. Its all about the tuning and power in my opinion. Granted the vxi65s have the mid bass clarity, and peircing highs you could also be after. If your fiberglassing, you could get say Skar or Sundown for the time being until you can get your hands on some Crescendo PWXs of the same size. What would the doors be trying to keep up with bass wise?

Why do you feel like you need two pairs of components?

There are PLENTY of components that sound damn near as good as your 2nd list for a tiny fraction of the price. Let alone raw drivers like Silver Flute, Dayton, Vifa, etc. You can get fantastic results with those for peanuts.

PA speakers get loud as balls becasue of the sensitivity. But they sacrifice a lot in the "SQ" department. CAN they sound good? Yes... but it's much more difficult and requires way more EQ than traditional drivers. So the first list is going to be much louder. It's also going to be sorely lacking in the midbass department.

Well I was running one set of alpine type x 6.5 components off a pdx-f4 with 2 type r 15s at 1ohm off a 1500amp and the one set did not keep up..i m starting over and want to make sure I have a enough this time..

Thank you for the help guys...I guess the next question would be what to go with... I notice a lot of people using and talking about the crescendo's pwx 6.5" and ft1-se now is this a like ford chevy thing ? considering something like a PAX-6.5 Pro Audio 6.5" is 3 times the money...do you get 3 times better speaker? I will pay more for a product if its justifiable.

if it were me... i'd go with the pwx 6.5s and ft1 tweets.. it's all really personal preference though. but i haven't heard the skar super tweets in person yet.

Neither have I but they seemed way too overpriced to just try them out.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

exactly my thoughts.. my buddy got some pax 6.5s and they sounded pretty good (i'd still prefer the pwx's) and he plans to get the skar tweets too, so i'll let y'all know what i think when he gets them.

Good deal bro. YouTube has a lot of tests but I can never understand people experiencing the way something sounds from a YouTube video, lol
